What Domgate offers brands
A domain strategy decides which names a company holds, in which extensions, for what purpose, and who is responsible for them. Domgate audits the portfolio, writes the policy that keeps it in order, and provides the services that apply it.
Portfolio audit and consolidation
The audit covers all the domains of the group, at every registrar and in every subsidiary: holder, expiry date, contacts, name servers and use. It compares the markets where you sell with the country code domains you hold, and ends with a list of actions: renew, consolidate, register, drop, recover. We then carry out those actions with you, including the transfers to a single account. See our global domain strategy service.
Every market with its country code domain
Many country code extensions require a local address, company or contact. Our local presence service lets you register them anyway: depending on the registry rules, we act as the local administrative contact, as the local address of the holder or as the registrant of record, under a written agreement that records that the domain is yours.
When a launch, a new market or a change of name must stay confidential, anonymous registration keeps your company's name out of the public record until you are ready.
Watching and defensive actions
A domain watch tells you when someone registers a domain that contains your brand or your keywords, and reports the changes on your own domains, such as an expiry date coming without a renewal or a change of name servers nobody ordered. See trademark watching.
When a domain infringes your trademark, our legal department chooses the path with you and conducts it: a cease-and-desist letter, a negotiation, a dispute procedure such as the UDRP, or a court action. See domain recovery.
Your own top-level domain
A dot brand is a top-level domain made of your own brand. Domgate assists companies through the application and then runs the domain with them. When a dot brand is not the right tool for your size, we say so and propose the portfolio of country code domains that gives you the same protection. See dot brand.
Start with an inventory
Send us the list of your domains and your markets; the first step is an inventory, and we come back with the gaps.
Our solutions page presents what Domgate offers to registrars and hosting companies, to IP law firms, and to brands and corporations.

Brands: frequent questions
The inventory of your domains as a spreadsheet, the audit report with its priorities, and a policy document ready to be signed off by the management.
A market without its local domain is a market where someone else can take it. Local infringers register local extensions, so a brand is often copied in the country code domains of its customers before it is copied in generic extensions.
Yes. With anonymous registration, our contacts appear in the public record and, where the registry rules permit it, our entity is the registrant of record. Your account shows the real holder, and the domain can be moved to your own name at any time. It is not a way to hide from the law: a court order or a dispute procedure obliges us to disclose the holder.
A dot brand suits companies with a large domain portfolio, a brand used in many countries and a real exposure to phishing or counterfeiting. For a company with a few dozen domains, the same protection is usually obtained at a fraction of the cost by holding the country code domains of its markets, registering defensive variants and watching the rest.
