What an IDN extension is
An internationalized domain name (IDN) extension is a top-level domain written in a local script rather than in Latin letters, such as .рф for Russia or .中国 for China. Each one also has an ASCII form that starts with xn--, called Punycode: .рф is written .xn--p1ai.
Below, each IDN extension Domgate registers appears once, in its local script, with the name of its script, grouped by country; the extensions that are not tied to a country come last. Every extension has its own page with its price and, where our sheets give them, the rules of its registry. Our Punycode converter turns a domain name from one form into the other.
