Your portfolio, run for you
A large domain portfolio is a daily task: renewals across many extensions, registry rules that change, documents to provide, DNS changes requested by different teams, alerts to read. Many companies have no one whose job is to look after it. Managed services give that job to our team, under the rules you set.
What we take over
- Renewals, according to your policy, so that no domain expires by accident and no unwanted one is renewed out of habit.
- Changes requested by your teams: DNS records, contacts, holders, with the documents each registry requires.
- New registrations and transfers, including the extensions that require a local presence.
- Protection: watching, registry locks where the extension offers them, and the follow-up of the cases that need action.
Reporting
Regular reports show the portfolio as management needs to see it: domains by market and by purpose, upcoming renewals and their budget, changes made, alerts and cases in progress. They are written to be read by legal, marketing and IT alike, and they support the yearly review of your domain policy.
How Domgate handles it
A dedicated account manager is your single contact. We agree with you on the rules (who may request a change, what needs approval, which domains are core and which are defensive) and apply them across the whole portfolio, from one account, through the portal or the API.
Who it is for
Groups and brand owners with large or international portfolios, companies without an in-house domain team, and registrars or law firms who want to offer a managed service to their own clients.
Managed services: frequent questions
Do we keep control of our domains?
Yes. The domains stay in your account. Where a local presence or an anonymous registration puts our entity on the record, a written agreement records that the domain is registered for you, who keeps the use of it and the right to have it transferred. We act on the rules you set, and the changes we make appear in your reports.
Can you take over domains held at other registrars?
Yes. The usual first step is to bring them into your Domgate account, so that one team and one set of reports cover the whole portfolio.
What do the reports contain?
The domains by market and purpose, the renewals ahead with their budget, the changes made since the last report, and the alerts and cases in progress.
