What Domgate offers law firms

Domgate was founded in 2014 by Philippe Boos, who used to work as a European Trademark Attorney. Its team brings together country code domain account managers, legal specialists and IT experts, and its services for law firms cover the whole cycle: securing the rights, watching the domains, acting against infringements.

Trademark registration through our network

We register trademarks through our network of trademark attorneys, and you manage your clients' trademarks and domain names in one centralized platform. Our prices include the application, the registration certificate and the legal fees, except for potential legal defense fees. Our trademark registration page lists the countries with their price or their order link.

Domain watching for your clients

A domain watch tells you when someone registers a domain that contains your client's brand or keywords, in any extension. Each alert comes with the domain name, a link to the website if one is active, and the public registration record.

Periodic reports group the alerts by brand and by extension, with the status of each case, and are written for the person who has to decide. Our watching page describes what is watched and what to do with an alert.

Recovering infringing domains

Our legal department handles domain name disputes:

  • Cease-and-desist letters to the domain holder, and negotiations towards an amicable settlement.
  • Website takedowns on trademark or copyright grounds.
  • Procedures before arbitration bodies, such as the UDRP and the URS for generic extensions, and the procedure of the registry or of its designated arbitration centre for country code domains.

When a recovery action is needed, it follows through our legal department or through your own counsel. Our domain recovery page explains how a case runs.

Confidential projects and restricted extensions

Anonymous registration keeps the name of the company behind a domain out of public view, before a product launch, a merger or a change of name. Law firms use it for the clients whose projects they prepare, with the agreement drafted in their name; see anonymization. Where a registry requires a local address, company or contact, our local presence service lets your clients register the extension anyway.

Work with us

Send us your client's trademark and the domains of concern, and we come back with an assessment.

Our solutions page presents what Domgate offers to registrars and hosting companies, to IP law firms, and to brands and corporations.
