Domgate Analysis: ICANN’s New Registration Data Policy and Domain Metrica

ICANN’s new Registration Data Policy is now in effect, and Domgate has analyzed its impact on the global domain community. The policy provides a consistent, privacy-focused framework for processing domain registration data, replacing the interim policy with 34 updated recommendations and modernized procedures.

Alongside this, ICANN has launched Domain Metrica, a platform that consolidates multiple datasets to provide actionable insights on domain names. Users can view, filter, and download metrics and metadata via the web interface or API, enabling better analysis and decision-making.

Domgate encourages ccTLD operators to join Domain Metrica to access valuable data, identify trends, and enhance their operational and policy strategies.

With extensive experience in ccTLD management, brand protection, and global domain services, Domgate continues to help registries, registrars, and corporate clients adapt to evolving internet policies while fostering innovation in the domain industry.
