Launch of .ss (South Sudan)

Registration of .ss domain names has been launched with Sunrise starting on June 1, 2020.

The general availability starts on September 1, 2020.

There also exist a number of second-level domains:

  • .edu.ss - for South Sudan higher educational institutions
  • .com.ss - open to all applicants (intended for commercial entities)
  • .net.ss
  • .biz.ss - any business entity
  • .gov.ss - for South Sudan governmental entities
  • .org.ss - for South Sudan NGOs
  • .sch.ss - for South Sudan secondary and primary schools
  • .me.ss - for personal websites (name.me.ss)
