A .TR domain is registered for 1 to 5 years and renewed for 1 year. Registration takes 5 days. After the expiry date, a domain can still be renewed late: D1 to D30. Restoration after expiry: D31 to D60. Other considerations shown on the .TR page: Regarding .com.tr, though no local presence is required, the domain must correspond to either the company name or a trademark (from anywhere) of the registrant and a proof of activity in Turkey is required.
A .TR domain is transferred through a manual procedure. The domain does not need to be unlocked first. The transfer does not change the expiry date. The holder is changed through a manual procedure. Supporting documents are required for the change of holder.
